The Companies Who Cry Noose

They have no shame where shame is certainly needed.

No, I’m not talking about actor Jussie Smollett and NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace. It’s altogether obvious that they have no shame nor integrity as they celebrate and–in Wallace’s case–profit directly from self-manufactured racial hoaxes.

I am addressing the companies that are on-board with it all.

Here’s a Root Insurance ad celebrating Wallace’s resolve in not admitting guilt in perpetuating an outright scam:

Yes, indeed. How heroic…

Truth is, selling some perpetual race war and concurrent race to see which company is the most woke, means big business especially in a year in which the government has acted on the behalf of big business to crush the small, shutting down the latter in favor of the former while injecting Fed liquidity to the market so as to make sure that the “too-big-to-fails” of the world capitalize while their small competitors are socialized.

The great work and insights of men like Michael Rectenwald and Dave Smith reveal that the corporate embrace of wokeism provides great cover for their abject crimes, from stock buy-backs to protectionism. In essence then, the method that has proven so successful for state officials now has been bought, whole hog, by the corporate world: Keep people divided and at each others’ throats, send off our boards for token sensitivity training, and the rubes will not notice the ever-quickening bleed of taxpayers, consumers, producers, savers–i.e. the general public.

Never mind the fact that in the “CoVid Relief Bill”, along with all of the incredible pork in it, Americans will get $600 a piece while Israelis would–if dollars allotted to Israel were actually given to the people–get $300 a piece. Never mind the net zero interest rates. Never mind the stealth inflation–you’re paying more for less, aren’t you? From bags of chips with less actual chips to car warranties, the steal has been on for a while now–it’s just accelerated like the NASCAR competitors of Bubba Wallace–you know, those drivers who have indeed won a race.

Weird, isn’t it? When I engage in voluntary exchange with the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker; with my Lyft driver, my barber, my bartender–conflict is totally absent. No where to be found. In fact, the encounters are nothing short of friendly. But in the apparatuses of the state, in education, in health care, in the American Pravda media, we’re all at war. Competing for the state’s attention and beneficence (?) renders us quite vicious. Competing for big corporate woke largesse and imprimatur will make us–if you can imagine it–perhaps much worse.
